Recap of Day 4: Highlights from GPHW2024

Day 4 of Global Public Health Week 2024 with the theme “Promoting a Sustainable Life for Thriving Communities” took center stage. Throughout the day, various events highlighted the importance of sustainability in health systems and community well-being. From lectures on allocating sustainable funding for resilient health systems to discussions on the health impacts of fossil fuels and the imperative for a just transition, the day offered insights into fostering sustainable practices.

Additionally, webinars addressed topics such as oral health sustainability, infodemic management, and the role of AI in national defense. Panel discussions focused on human rights in climate advocacy and empowering communities for resilience. Through these events, participants gained valuable knowledge on integrating sustainability into public health initiatives and building thriving communities for the future.

Tomorrow we will commence Day 5 with the theme “Fostering the Development of the Right Competencies within Tomorrow’s Health Workforce”.
