on Public Health
The World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) organises the 16th World Congress on Public Health from 12 to 16 October 2020 in collaboration with the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) and the Italian Society of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health (SItI). Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the congress will be digital. The 2020 World Congress on Public Health comes at a critical time for our planet: COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, threats to food and water supply, risks for biodiversity loss, mass migration and conflicts. Political structures at all levels are struggling to respond. International agreements on climate change, nuclear weapons, and much else, are being torn up. The 2020 World Congress will reflect our firm commitment that the global public health community has an obligation to respond to these new circumstances and to challenge those with the power to make a difference.
