Global Public Health Week

During Global Public Health Week (GPHW), institutions, communities, and public health actors worldwide organize several events. 

The GPHW2025 will focus on“Redefining Equity: Decolonizing Public Health for a Healthier World.”

Day 1 – Health and Peacebuilding
Exploring the fundamental role of peace as a foundation for public health, alongside the critical contributions of health initiatives in conflict zones, post-conflict recovery, and health diplomacy. 

Day 2 – Climate Change, Health, and Sustainable Futures
Analyzing the profound impact of climate change on health and developing strategies to create sustainable, resilient health systems that can adapt to and withstand environmental crises.

Day 3 – Innovations in Public Health for a Healthier World
Highlighting cutting-edge advancements, from digital health to novel technologies, with a focus on how these innovations can bridge health disparities, foster equity and inclusion, and enhance outcomes globally.

Day 4 – Mental Health and Social Cohesion
Tackling global mental health needs by focusing on social cohesion, stigma reduction, and integrating mental public health into primary health systems to promote collective well-being.

Day 5 – Building an Inclusive Health Workforce and Leadership
Enhancing diversity in health leadership and policymaking, with a commitment to training, recruiting, and retaining professionals from historically underrepresented groups to ensure an inclusive and representative public health workforce.
