Event Description: Dans son rôle de partenaire d’appui-conseil de l’Etat du Cameroun en matière de santé publique, l’Association Camerounaise de Santé Publique (ACASAP), créée en 2007 et devenue membre de la Fédération mondiale des Associations de santé publique (WFPHA) en 2008, publie et soumet à la Haute attention des Autorités politiques et sanitaire du Cameroun depuis 2014, des Notes de Plaidoyer sur l’état du secteur de la santé.

La trois premières Notes publiées respectivement en 2014, 2016, et 2018 portaient sur le renforcement du système de santé et la réduction des inégalités sociales de santé ; la qualité des soins et la gouvernance dans les formations sanitaires au Cameroun et les quatre symphonies inachevées du secteur de la sante.

La quatrième Note de Plaidoyer qui fait objet de partage dans ce Webinaire, procède à une analyse stratégique du secteur de la santé inspirée du modèle publié dans la Charte mondiale pour la santé des populations qui définit les trois services clés et les quatre fonctions essentielles de la santé publique. Elle présente les acquis et les défis du secteur par service et fonction, identifie les opportunités et les menaces sur la base desquelles, elle émet six conditions nécessaires pour améliorer la situation sanitaire et formule dix propositions pour une véritable transformation du secteur de la santé « vers une démocratie sanitaire qui viserait à promouvoir une vie durable pour des communautés prospères et en bonne santé».

Objectifs du Webinaire:
1. Partager avec la communauté nationale et internationale de la Santé Publique, les dix propositions susceptibles de transformer le secteur de la santé vers une Démocratie sanitaire pour promouvoir une vie durable pour des communautés prospères.
2. Animer un échange avec les participants sur les dix propositions.
