GPHW2023: Masterclass: The Climate Crisis and Health

Theme: Tackling the Climate Crisis

Event Description: The climate crisis that is affecting the entire globe impacts health on the individual, community and population levels in a myriad of ways. From environmental impacts resulting from extreme climatic events to a decline in access to health care and increasing inequality in health and social support, climate change is bringing major direct and indirect health impacts to communities around the world.

Experts in climate change will explore the effects of climate change on all facets of health and wellbeing in this masterclass, including health risks experienced by communities who are the most vulnerable to climate change, including women, low-SES communities, migrants and older populations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions in this masterclass. The event will be available for viewing after the session at along with some take-home messages.
