Theme: Preparing Public Health Professionals & Associations for the New Challenges

Date and Time: 03 April 2023 | 11:00 – 13:00 (CEST)

Event Description: We are living in the Anthropocene, the era in which the earth is being shaped by human activity. We are facing not only climate change, but also declining of biodiversity, shortages of fertile land and fresh water, changing in biogeochemical cycles, increased risk of infectious diseases, and the accumulation of new entities not previously present in nature. Education plays a key role in addressing this situation. In particular, the education of future doctors must provide the knowledge to interpret the complexity of the global situation and must provide the tools to think of the health of humanity as inextricably linked to the health of the planet. The question that must therefore be asked is: how should Planetary health be incorporated into medical curricula?
