Event Description: The Youth Climate and Health Network is excited to announce a two-part workshop on climate change adaptation and mitigation policy-making for health and public health professionals. A team of young and expert professionals in this field will lead the workshop. The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to climate change, adaptation, mitigation, and how these issues relate to the health and public health sectors. The session will emphasize the role of health and public health professionals in advocating for climate change action. In the second part of the workshop, participants will be divided into breakout rooms on Zoom. During this part, they will have the opportunity to design a policy statement based on what they learned during the first half of the workshop. After the breakout rooms, there will be a discussion and feedback session. This workshop provides an excellent opportunity for health and public health professionals to learn about climate change policymaking and network with other field professionals. We encourage all interested individuals to attend this informative and engaging event.
