On 12 November 2018 in Bogota, Colombia, the first face-to-face Meeting between Diplomats of the Global Charter will take place. This will be a valuable opportunity for diplomats to connect and share strategies for better implementing the Global Charter around the world. A large influx of the public is also expected throughout the week with the objective of reaching a consensus on local governance initiatives and promoting true Latin American alliances for universal health.

The WFPHA calls upon professionals and health organizations to continue the development of the Global Charter for the Public's Health to fully embrace and promote its services of protection, prevention and health promotion as well as its four enabler functions of good governance, accurate information, effective advocacy and capacity building. Utilization of these services and functions will serve as a pathway to resilient health systems globally.
