Public Health beyond borders - Driving change with evidence

Tuesday 20 June 2017 - Wednesday 21 June 2017

Faculty of Public Health Expo & Annual Conference 2017

Having introduced 'Evidence Into Practice' as a secondary theme for the 2016 conference, it now becomes the main theme for 2017.
As a public health community, we have an ever greater responsibility to implement the systems, policies and services that are as cost-effective and efficient as possible. Our 2017 conference in Telford is the opportunity to share the latest evidence, explore new ideas, and ensure that current practice is the most effective we can deliver.

We want to bring together ideas, innovative practices, and learning from across the full range of public health activities. Examples of this may include: protecting against infection and environmental hazards to improving care delivery, from new screening programmes to improving health in the populations we serve. Evidence supports all parts of public health – come and share it in Telford.

Emerging conference streams include:

  • Planetary health – this will be the main theme of the 2018 conference
  • Public health workforce
  • Introducing good laws to prevent bad health
  • Health protection

Mental health was the primary theme of the 2016 conference; we welcome abstract submissions relating to mental health falling into any of the above streams.

We are now open for oral and poster abstracts which will form the parallel and workshop sessions at the conference. Please click here to submit an abstract. As always at an FPH conference, delegate interaction is the key to success – we request that all submissions of oral and workshop abstracts outline how the presenter will seek delegate participation.
